A basic knowledge of the techniques of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy using an evidence-based approach to many of the problems outlined above wil enhance your interaction between patients and colleagues. Our courses have gained in popularity due to their relaxed, interactive and informative nature. Our courses do not claim to produce specialist cognitive behavioural therapists, but are specifically designed to familiarise people, with a range of useful, effective and proven techniques.
If you are interested in our current understanding of how and why we think, feel and behave as we do, and if you are interested in the recent advances and insights in to mind and body medicine, and the factors that influence wellbeing, stress, health and illness, then one of these courses will appeal to you.
We are offering three different courses;
The Introductory Course - This course provides an introduction to cognitive therapy covering the theory, principles and applications of CBT. It is designed for non-CBT specialists and you do not need any prior knowledge of CBT.
The Skills Course – This is intended for non-CBT specialists the ‘skills course’ is designed to put theory into practice across a range of conditions. It provides an introduction to cognitive therapy, an understanding of specific CBT techniques, to help participants develop an effective ‘tool-kit’ of CBT treatment strategies.
CFS, medically unexplained symptoms and pain - Our new course covering Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, medically unexplained problems and pain is aimed at educating and creating an understanding as to how to recognise and ‘rethink’ this complex and varied problem.
